Pure Homme

Pure Homme is a spicy, citrusy woody scent marketed for men from the French brand Franck Olivier, released in 2022. Spicy is how everyone describes it, most also find it citrusy, and about half notice wood or amber, with greenness mentioned by a quarter, which fits a fresh, cardamom-led masculine.

Mandarin orange, Italian mandarin and bergamot open it with a juicy, sweet, slightly bitter citrus, and ginger adds a warm, zesty heat right behind them. Cardamom, including a Guatemalan cardamom note, is the heart and the character of the scent, cool, green, slightly sweet and aromatic, with nutmeg adding a warmer, woodier spice beside it. The base is cedar and white cedar extract, dry and pencil-like, with oakmoss adding a damp, slightly bitter green depth and amber and white amber a soft, warm, slightly powdery glow that rounds off the finish.

It is a versatile scent for most seasons, daytime or evening, for men who like cardamom and citrus over clean, dry woods.
