Mushussu - Babylonia

Mushussu - Babylonia from the French house Fiilit, released in 2019, is a resinous, incense-heavy woody amber. People describe it as woody, resinous and ambery in equal measure, and about half also find it spicy or aromatic.

Mint gives the opening a cool, unexpected freshness, and pepper a dry, sharp heat. Elemi and elemi resin follow with a fresh, lemony, slightly peppery resin quality that bridges the cool top and the warm base. Incense is the heart, dry, smoky and church-like, and agarwood deepens it with a dark, slightly medicinal woodiness. Sandalwood adds a creamy, smooth woodiness that softens the smoke, and labdanum a rich, leathery, ambery warmth that lasts on the skin.
