Divine Vanille from Essential Parfums is a spiced vanilla fragrance released in 2019 and composed by Olivier Pescheux. Spice, sweetness, woods, florals and amber are all strongly felt, with a green, herbal side behind them.

It opens with clary sage, black pepper and cinnamon, so the first impression is aromatic and warming rather than sugary. The heart brings pomarose and osmanthus, a fruity rose and an apricot-like flower, with incense adding a soft, smoky lift. The base is where the vanilla sits: Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean for creamy sweetness, Siam benzoin for a resinous glow, and patchouli, Texas cedar and musk for an earthy, woody backbone.

People report moderate longevity and a moderate to close sillage, so it wears more as a warm aura than a trail. It is voted for autumn and winter and splits evenly between day and night. It suits cosy cold-weather wear, from work to dinner, and is worn by anyone who likes vanilla with spice and depth.
