Merci Cafe', from the Italian brand Epicò, is a gourmand fragrance released in 2024. Sweetness leads, with woody and citrus sides lighter and small touches of spice and musk.

Lemon and bergamot give a bright citrus start, a little like the lemon twist served with an espresso. Coffee then comes through, roasted and slightly bitter, alongside a creamy cafe counter of milk, coconut milk and madeleine, which bring a buttery, cake-like softness. Cinnamon adds a warm, sweet spice. The base is smooth and woody: sandalwood and cedar give a creamy and dry structure, and vanilla and musk a comforting, soft finish.

Worn by anyone, it suits autumn and winter, cosy mornings, weekends and relaxed afternoons. It should appeal to those who enjoy café-inspired gourmands, coffee with milk and pastry rather than black espresso, and who like their sweetness creamy and light rather than heavy or sticky.
