Rum opens it with a warm, dark sweetness, and davana, a herb with a boozy, fruity character, adds a smooth, liqueur-like tone. Green notes and elemi give a fresh, lemony, leafy lift, while cloves bring a warm spice. In the heart, tobacco adds a dry, honeyed leafiness, immortelle a honeyed, slightly curry-like warmth, and iris a cool, powdery touch.
