Labdanum Brut, from the Italian house Brioni, is a masculine fragrance composed by Mylène Alran and released in 2025. Spicy, woody, musky and floral sides lead equally, with resinous and citrus touches each about half as strong.

Bergamot gives a bright, clean start, and pink pepper and cardamom add a sparkling, cool spice. Rosemary brings a herbal, aromatic edge. The heart centres on Bulgarian rose and rose, rich and slightly spicy, giving the composition a velvety warmth. The base is dark and resinous: labdanum, the material of the name, brings a sticky, leathery, amber-like depth, while patchouli and vetiver add earthy, grassy woodiness and white musk and musk a smooth, clean finish.

It suits autumn and winter, evenings and smart occasions. It should appeal to those who like spiced rose with a raw, resinous labdanum base, refined but with a rugged edge, as brut suggests.
