Bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin give the opening a sunny, slightly bitter brightness, sharpened by ginger and cooled by a touch of mint. Cinnamon and clove then bring a warm, dry spice that gives the scent its character. Rose and ylang-ylang soften the heart, and in the base sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli form an earthy, creamy wood, with leather and vanilla adding a smooth, slightly smoky warmth.
Wood Of Life is worn by anyone. Its spiced citrus works in daytime, while the woody-leather base carries it into the evening. It suits transitional seasons and someone who likes a lively start that settles into something grounded.
