Secret Scent by Al Ambra, released in 2023, is a sweet fruity floral with a woody, ambery base. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand; about three quarters also find it floral, and half notice woody, amber or citrus sides.
Bergamot and lemon give a bright citrus opening, with green apple, peach and blackcurrant adding a crisp, juicy, slightly tart fruitiness. Pink pepper brings a light, rosy warmth. Rose, lilac and ylang-ylang form the floral heart, the lilac fresh and slightly powdery, the ylang creamy. Sandalwood and patchouli give a smooth, earthy wood in the base, styrax a sweet, balsamic resin, and amber with musk a warm, soft, long-lasting finish.
Secret Scent is worn by anyone. Its fruity sweetness suits spring and summer and daytime wear, while the amber base carries it into a mild evening. It will appeal to someone who likes apple-and-peach florals with a bit of depth.
