Bergamot and mandarin orange open it with juicy brightness, and raspberry adds a tart, jammy sweetness almost immediately. Lavender and sage give the heart a herbal, slightly bitter clarity that stops the fruit from becoming syrupy, while cardamom adds a warm, green spice. The base turns smoother and darker: vanilla for sweetness, musk for softness, vetiver for a dry, rooty earthiness and leather for a supple, slightly smoky grip.
The mix of fruit, herbs and leather gives it range. It reads as fresh enough for daytime but has enough warmth in the base to carry into an evening, and the sweetness is more fruit than cake. A good choice for someone who finds plain citrus scents too short-lived and plain gourmands too heavy.
