Bergamot gives the opening a bright, slightly bitter lift, and pink pepper, cardamom and saffron follow with a warm, aromatic, slightly leathery spice. The heart pairs rose, full and slightly sweet, with jasmine, warm and rich, and orris root, which adds a cool, powdery softness. Elemi brings a fresh, lemony-peppery resin, and labdanum a rich, leathery amber. Sandalwood and vetiver give the base creamy and rooty woods, cypriol a smoky, earthy depth, vanilla a hint of sweetness, and musk a warm, skin-like finish.
