Ginger gives the opening a bright, slightly sharp lift before the incense takes over. Incense here reads as church-like and smoky rather than sweet, and myrrh deepens that with a bitter, balsamic resin quality. Papyrus adds a dry, almost dusty green woodiness, while leather lends a smooth, slightly animalic edge. Woody notes carry the whole composition through to the drydown, so it stays austere rather than drifting towards vanilla or amber sweetness.
It is worn by anyone who likes resinous, contemplative scents. The character points towards autumn and winter, evenings, and a wearer who prefers quiet depth to obvious sweetness. It would suit someone who already enjoys incense and wants a refined, woody take on it.
