Almond and bitter almond lead, the first sweet and marzipan-like, the second sharper and slightly cherry-like, and heliotrope deepens the almond idea with its powdery, vanilla-tinged softness. Datura is the named flower, a heady, slightly narcotic white bloom, and tuberose and Indian tuberose add a creamy, lush richness beside it. The base is vanilla and Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean for a hay-like sweetness, and myrrh for a dry, faintly bitter resin that keeps the whole thing from becoming pure confectionery.
It reads as a soft, powdery, evening-leaning scent for someone who likes almond and tuberose together and wants a fragrance that feels warm and slightly old-fashioned, in the vein of a well-made pastry shop.
