Fig and fig leaf give a juicy, milky fruit and a green, slightly bitter leafiness. Frankincense and olibanum add a cool, smoky, church-like resin, a pairing hinted at by the saintly name. The base is warm and woody: cedar and Virginia cedar give a dry, pencil-like structure, labdanum a honeyed, ambery resin, patchouli an earthy depth, ambroxan a warm, mineral glow, and Bourbon vanilla and vanilla a soft sweetness.
