Saffron, cloves and jasmine open it with a warm, spiced, slightly medicinal start, the jasmine adding a smooth floral touch. The heart brings rose and agarwood, a soft, slightly jammy flower against a dry, resinous oud, with caramel adding a sweet, toasted richness and gurjun balsam a resinous depth. The base is woody and long-lasting in character: guaiac wood and sandalwood give a smoky, creamy woodiness, patchouli and cypriol an earthy depth, labdanum a warm resin, and musk a soft finish.
It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes rose and oud with saffron and a touch of sweetness should find it rewarding.
