Laudano Nero from Tiziana Terenzi, released in 2014 and composed by Paolo Terenzi, is a dark, boozy woody fragrance. Woods lead, aromatics are strong, and sweet, musky, floral and amber notes fill out a complex profile.

The opening is heady: cognac gives a rich, boozy warmth, tobacco a dry smokiness, and rosemary, wormwood and myrtle a bitter, herbal sharpness. The heart is smoky and mineral, with black locust honey for golden sweetness, ash and slate for a cool, stony dryness, and iris and red rose for a muted floral note over cedar and sandalwood. The base is deep and resinous, with oud, incense, labdanum and oak for a smoky, woody richness, camphor and laurel for a medicinal coolness, and vanilla and musk for softness.

Performance is exceptional: many wearers say it lasts far beyond a day, and the sillage is mostly strong. It is voted for winter and autumn and is mainly an evening scent. It suits cold nights and anyone who loves dark, smoky, boozy compositions. It is worn by anyone.
