Valaya by Parfums de Marly, released in 2023 for women and composed by Quentin Bisch, is a clean, bright floral that people describe as sweet, woody, floral and citrus all at once, with about half also calling it musky and fresh.

It opens with white peach, mandarin and bergamot given a soapy sparkle by aldehydes. The heart is a white-flower accord of orange blossom and lily of the valley, with mahonia and the modern materials Nympheal and Petalia adding a dewy, petal-like freshness, and vetiver a faint green dryness underneath. The base is musk, vanilla and ambroxan with akigalawood, which together give a soft, radiant, slightly powdery warmth that lasts.

Most wearers report it as long lasting, with a quarter calling it eternal, and sillage is split between moderate and strong. Spring and summer are the favoured seasons, and it is voted for day about three to one. It suits warm, bright days and someone who wants a fresh, well-scrubbed floral with enough musk and vanilla to carry into the evening.
