Apple and pear open it, crisp and juicy, with the pear adding a soft, slightly watery sweetness. The heart turns darker and more interesting: tobacco brings a dry, sweet, leafy warmth, saffron a leathery, faintly medicinal spice, and rose a full, honeyed floral that softens the two. The base is vanilla, creamy and rich, with ambergris adding a salty, soft, skin-like warmth and musk a clean finish, so the fruit of the opening ends up as a smooth, slightly boozy sweetness on the skin.
It is worn by anyone. The tobacco-vanilla character suits autumn and winter and evening wear, and a person who likes sweet fragrances with a drier, more adult middle than the usual fruit-and-vanilla formula.
