Honey and oud share the name and the formula of Mieloud, a shared fragrance from the Italian house LPDO released in 2020. Everyone who describes it finds it gourmand and woody, and about half add spicy, floral, amber and leather.

It opens with honey, thick and golden, warmed by Ceylon cinnamon, which is sweeter and more delicate than the harsher cassia kind. Indonesian patchouli leaf gives the heart an earthy, slightly cocoa-like depth, with a general floral softness beside it. The base is where it gets serious: Laotian oud brings a smoky, resinous wood, leather adds a smooth animal warmth, and amber, vanilla and white musk keep the whole thing sweet and wearable.

This is a cold-weather, evening fragrance with a sweet entry and a dark finish. Worn by anyone, it should suit people who enjoy honey and spice but want them anchored to something woody and a little rough-edged.

Mieloud — unisex fragrance by LPDO (released 2020). Top notes: Honey, Ceylon Cinnamon. Heart notes: Indonesian Patchouli Leaf, Floral Notes. Base notes: Laotian Oud, Leather, Amber, Vanilla, White Musk. — Parfica open fragrance database
