Black Sea is a marine fragrance from the Italian perfumer Lorenzo Pazzaglia, released under his own name in 2019 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it fresh, some find it floral, and a minority notice green, musky, ambery and citrus sides.
It opens with salt, ozonic and watery notes, bergamot and myrtle, a bracing, sea-air freshness with a herbal, slightly resinous edge from the myrtle. The heart keeps the salt and sea notes going but adds orange blossom and ylang-ylang, so a creamy, sunlit floral warmth appears over the water. The base is where it darkens: oakmoss and algae for a damp, green, mineral depth, ambergris for a salty animal warmth, and patchouli with white musk for an earthy, soft finish.
Most wearers call its longevity eternal, and most of the rest long lasting; projection is reported as enormous or strong by most people, which is rare for a fresh scent.
