Lime, rum, orange blossom and black elder open it with a lively mix of sharp citrus, boozy warmth and honeyed floral sweetness. The heart brings candied lemon and black lemon, the first sweet and sugary, the second dry, smoky and slightly sour, set against rose, blackcurrant and cedar for floral, fruity and woody balance. The base is smooth and long-lasting in character: ambroxan and ambergris give a mineral, salty amber, cashmere wood a soft, warm woodiness, and musk a clean finish.

It suits spring and summer and moves easily from day to evening. Anyone who likes citrus with unusual depth, particularly the smoky dried-lemon note, should find it rewarding.
