Rose is present in layers here: Damask rose for a full, classic bloom, and rose water for a lighter, dewier tone, so the flower feels both lush and clean. Black currant adds a tart fruitiness, and currant leaf and bud bring a sharp, green, slightly bitter freshness that keeps the composition lively. Iris adds a cool, powdery softness between flower and wood.
