Pomegranoudh from the Dutch house Fugazzi, released in 2026, is a fruity oud that pairs pomegranate with dark woods. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, most also find it gourmand, and a minority notice musk, amber and citrus.
Bergamot opens with a bright, slightly bitter citrus sparkle, quickly joined by pomegranate, which gives a tart, juicy, ruby-red fruitiness, and red fruits, which add a jammy sweetness. The heart is agarwood, or oud, dark, resinous and slightly smoky, its intensity softened by the fruit. The base is warm and earthy: patchouli brings depth, vanilla a creamy sweetness, amber a golden glow and musk a soft, skin-close finish.
Unisex in spirit, it suits people who like oud made more approachable through fruit. The profile works for autumn and winter evenings, dinners and celebrations, while the fruit keeps it bright enough for cooler daytime wear. Those who enjoy fruity ouds with a vanilla-patchouli base should find it inviting.
