The opening pairs litchi's delicate, juicy fruitiness with pink pepper's light sparkle and a thread of incense that gives an early smoky dryness. The heart is built on two vanillas, Bourbon and Madagascar, which bring a rich, creamy, slightly boozy sweetness. In the base, sandalwood adds a milky woodiness, opoponax a warm, resinous and balsamic depth, and cashmeran a soft, musky, woody glow.
This is a comforting yet refined scent suited to autumn and winter, evenings, dinners and special occasions, though the litchi keeps it light enough for cool days. It suits those who love vanilla but want it framed by smoke and resin rather than sugar, for a warm, elegant finish.
