Bergamot and mandarin give a bright, juicy opening, while saffron adds a warm, slightly spicy-savoury edge. Rose and jasmine form a lush floral heart, joined by plum for a dark, fruity sweetness. The base is dense and animalic: agarwood, or oud, brings dry, smoky depth, leather and castoreum a supple, slightly animal warmth, and frankincense a cool, resinous smoke.
This is an opulent, complex oud built in the traditional Middle Eastern style, with fruit and florals adding softness. It suits autumn and winter evenings, formal occasions and celebrations, and should appeal to experienced oud lovers who enjoy richness and depth.
