Red Redemption Eau de Parfum is a warm, woody amber from the Omani house Ojar, released in 2022 and composed by Jordi Fernández. Woody, musky and ambery are the words everyone reaches for; about half also find it spicy, green or citrusy, which hints at a brighter top than the base would suggest.
Blood orange opens it, juicier and slightly more bitter than ordinary orange, with pink pepper adding a rosy, peppery sparkle. Rose sits in the heart, warm and full rather than fresh, and it is framed by oakmoss, which brings a damp, green bitterness, and vetiver, which adds a dry, smoky, rooty wood. The base is where the amber side takes over: white amber and vanilla give a smooth, slightly powdery sweetness, patchouli an earthy depth, and white musk a clean, long-lasting softness.
Worn by anyone, it works best in autumn and winter, a warm, enveloping scent for those who like amber with green and woody structure rather than pure sweetness.
