Nina, released by Nina Ricci in 2006, is a sweet apple scent for women by Olivier Cresp, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and Christian Dussoulier. Everyone finds it sweet, most also notice citrus, and a minority pick out woody, musky or floral facets.
Lime and Amalfi lemon make the opening tart and sparkling. The heart is the signature: a crisp Granny Smith apple set against praline, so the fruit is coated in a caramelised, nutty sweetness, with peony and datura adding a light floral softness. The base keeps the apple theme with an apple tree note alongside Virginia cedar for dryness and musk for a smooth, clean finish.
Most wearers describe longevity as moderate, and a minority find it weak; sillage is moderate, staying fairly close. It is voted mainly for spring and summer and strongly for daytime, which fits a playful, sweet-and-sour scent for women that works best in mild weather.
