Angel Elixir is Mugler's 2023 Elixir concentration for women, composed by Anne Flipo and Domitille Michalon Bertier. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and about a third also find it spicy, sweet, woody and ambery.
It opens with pink pepper alone, a bright, slightly fizzy spice. The heart is a rich white-floral trio of jasmine, ylang-ylang and orange blossom, heady and creamy, with sandalwood woven in to give the flowers a smooth, milky woodiness. The base is Bourbon vanilla and Amber Xtreme, a strong amber material, so the drydown is warm, sweet and resonant without the caramel and patchouli of the original Angel.
Half of wearers find its longevity moderate and about a quarter long lasting. Projection is reported as moderate by most people, with a fifth calling it strong. It is voted equally for autumn and winter, and more for night than day, which makes it a cool-weather evening floral for someone who likes white flowers over vanilla and amber.
