The notes are listed together. Bergamot and elemi open with a brief citrus and peppery-resinous brightness. Rose and iris give a gentle, powdery floral heart, and rice adds a starchy, comforting softness that is distinctive. The musk comes from several directions: white musk, musk and ambrette, which is a vegetal musk with a slightly nutty, skin-like quality. Sandalwood and cedar supply a smooth wood, and benzoin with vanilla and tonka bean leaves a sweet, balsamic warmth.
