Les Jeux sont Faits is a Jovoy Paris masculine from 2012, composed by Amélie Bourgeois. Green is the word everyone uses for it, about two thirds also call it sweet and woody, and a third find it spicy and resinous.

The opening sets dried fruits against petitgrain and angelica, a sticky, raisin-like sweetness cut by bitter green leaves and a herbal, slightly musky root. The heart is the bar: rum and gin bring boozy warmth and a juniper-like coolness, tobacco leaf adds a dry, honeyed leafiness, and cumin a warm, slightly sweaty spice. The base of labdanum, vanilla, patchouli and sandalwood is resinous and soft, drying the drink down to a warm, woody finish.

Most people report long-lasting performance, and the projection is moderate for most, strong for some. It is voted for autumn and winter and strongly for the evening. It suits cold nights, dinners and card tables, and someone who likes tobacco and spirits in a green rather than sugary setting.

Les Jeux sont Faits — for men fragrance by Jovoy Paris (released 2012). Top notes: Angelica, Dried Fruits, Petitgrain. Heart notes: Tobacco Leaf, Rum, Cumin, Gin. Base notes: Labdanum, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla. — Parfica open fragrance database
