Cardamom opens it with a warm, aromatic spice, and elemi adds a bright, lemony resin. Turkish rose and rose form the heart, rich and slightly jammy, with geranium sharpening them and osmanthus bringing an apricot-like, faintly leathery softness. The base is where the name comes from: cypriol oil, earthy and smoky, vetiver for dry roots, leather for a supple darkness, and amber for warmth.
Reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been gathered. By character it suits autumn and winter evenings, and someone who likes rose taken somewhere darker and more mineral than the usual sweet versions. It is sold in a mid-sized bottle.
