Bergamot and anise open it, a bright citrus start with the liquorice-like sweetness of anise setting the tone. The heart is honey and vanilla, thick, golden and slightly animalic in the way good honey notes can be, and this is what dominates for most of its life. The base is patchouli alone, which brings a dry, earthy depth that stops the sweetness from becoming flat.
