Pear gives the opening a juicy, slightly crisp fruit sweetness. The heart is pure patisserie: custard brings a creamy, eggy, vanilla-rich smoothness, caramel a warm, burnt-sugar depth and white chocolate a milky, cocoa-butter sweetness. Jasmine adds a floral note that keeps the composition from being entirely edible. The base of vanilla, musk and Ambroxan is soft and warm, the vanilla deepening the sweetness, the musk giving a skin-like finish and the Ambroxan a smooth, slightly salty, radiant warmth.
Saudade is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Custard and caramel of this richness suit autumn and winter and evenings, and it should appeal to people who enjoy creamy, comforting gourmands rather than fruity or fresh ones.
