Apple and pineapple provide the juicy, sweet opening, sharpened by bergamot and a prickle of pink pepper. Jasmine gives a floral heart with some heft, and then the base turns distinctly drier: leather, oakmoss and patchouli add a mossy, earthy, slightly animal depth, while ambergris lends a warm, salty glow. The effect is fruit set against something closer to a classic chypre.
