Chez Bond by Bond No 9, released in 2003, is a green, woody masculine with a tea note. Everyone describes it as green and woody, and a third as citrus. It smells like a freshly cut lawn in the shade, cool and clean rather than sweet.
The notes are given without a formal pyramid: grass, green notes and violet leaf provide the sharp, leafy, slightly bitter freshness; citruses add brightness at the start; tea brings a dry, faintly tannic coolness that is the quiet signature of the scent; and cedar, sandalwood and vetiver underneath give it a dry, smooth, earthy wood that lasts. The whole sits together as one green-woody accord that gradually loses its sharpness and settles into the woods.
About half of wearers find it long lasting and a third moderate; projection is moderate for most with a strong minority. Spring and summer lead the season votes, and it is chosen mostly for daytime. It suits warm days and anyone who likes green scents with more staying power than a typical cologne.
