Fauni is a warm, floral amber with resins and a touch of green, released by the Italian house of perfumer Angela Ciampagna in 2016. It is worn by anyone.
Green notes open it with a brief, leafy freshness. The heart is floral and creamy: gardenia gives a rich, slightly green white-floral note, ylang-ylang a sweet, banana-like creaminess, and floral notes and flowers a broader bouquet around them. The base is resinous and warm, with frankincense adding a dry, church-like smoke, benzoin and tolu balsam a sweet, vanilla-like balsam, amber a golden glow, woody notes a dry structure, and musk a soft finish.
It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes gardenia set against incense and sweet resins should find it rewarding.
