Mandarin orange, bergamot and lemon open it with sparkling zest, and lavender adds a clean, herbal freshness. The heart is tropical and heady: frangipani for a creamy, sun-warmed white-flower richness and jasmine sambac with jasmine for a honeyed, slightly indolic depth. The base is warm and resinous: ambergris for a salty, mineral glow, tolu balsam for a sweet, cinnamon-tinged resin, birch for a tarry, leathery smoke and musk for a smooth finish.
It suits warm evenings and mild weather and someone who likes lush white florals with a citrus opening and an ambery, slightly smoky base rather than a plain fresh floral.
