Cardamom and nutmeg open it with a warm, aromatic spice that feels dry rather than sweet. The heart brings dates, sticky, caramel-like and rich, paired with rose, which adds a soft, slightly jammy floral note that keeps the fruit from becoming cloying. Almond and saffron close it: the almond gives a smooth, marzipan-like sweetness, the saffron a warm, leathery, golden edge that lingers.
It is a cold-weather scent by nature, suited to autumn and winter and to evenings. Anyone who enjoys date-and-rose compositions, or spiced gourmands with a Middle Eastern character, should find it a comfortable wear.
