Cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg set a warm, sweet, slightly hot spice from the start, and cardamom adds a cooler, aromatic note that keeps it from feeling heavy. Hazelnut is the distinctive element, toasted, slightly sweet and buttery, and a gourmand accord supports it with a soft, edible roundness. Fir brings a resinous, slightly cool, forest-like greenness that gives the composition some air.
