Mahoganysun is a simple, sunny blend of frangipani, fig and vanilla, released by the French house Perroy in 2024 and composed by Arnaud Poulain. It is worn by anyone.
The composition rests on three notes and does not pretend otherwise. Frangipani gives a creamy, tropical floral sweetness with a faint apricot-like edge, the kind of flower associated with warm coastlines. Fig brings a green, milky, slightly woody freshness that keeps the floral from becoming heavy, with the leafy side of the fruit as present as the pulp. Vanilla rounds it off with a soft, smooth sweetness that lingers after the greener notes have faded.
The effect is sweet, green and floral in equal measure, and it suits summer days and warm evenings in particular. Anyone who likes fig scents but wants them softer and more floral, or tropical florals kept fresh by greenery, should find it an easy, pleasant wear.
