Un Air d'Apogée by Maison Violet, composed by Nathalie Lorson in 2018 and worn by anyone, is a dry, hay-scented woody leather. Woodiness is what everyone agrees on, and most also describe it as floral, aromatic and leathery; a third find it resinous and amber-like.

Hay is the thread running through it: a warm, dry, sweet-grassy note that smells of late summer fields. Sage adds a herbal, slightly bitter aromatic edge, and iris and mimosa give the floral side a cool, powdery, faintly honeyed softness. Tobacco brings a dry, honeyed depth, and leather and suede a smooth, worn-in richness. The woods are Atlas cedar and cedar, dry and pencil-like, with cashmeran adding a soft, warm, musky wood, labdanum a resinous amber and ambroxan a clean, radiant finish.

Most wearers report moderate longevity and a moderate trail. It is voted mainly for autumn and winter and splits evenly between day and night. It suits someone who likes dry, natural-smelling scents with hay and leather rather than sweetness.
