Bitter orange gives the opening a sharp, slightly marmalade-like brightness, and raspberry a dark, jammy fruitiness. Black pepper and cumin follow with a hot, dry, slightly animalic spice, and marigold adds a bitter, green, herbal sharpness. Agarwood is the core, dark, smoky and faintly medicinal, with cedar giving it a dry woody frame and leather a smooth, warm depth. Vetiver adds a rooty, earthy edge, and musk and amber soften the base into a warm, skin-like finish that lasts.
Oud & Musk is worn by anyone. Its bold, spiced character suits autumn and winter and evenings, and it should appeal to someone who likes oud with pepper and leather rather than rose and sweetness.
