Soleil Infidele by Laurent Mazzone Parfums, released in 2019, is a floral built around a beach-holiday idea, and anyone can wear it. Everyone calls it floral, and a third also pick up sweetness, freshness, amber, leather or citrus.
It opens with lemon zest and coconut nectar, a sharp citrus against a creamy, sweet coconut, the combination immediately sunny. The heart is lotus, wild orchid and jasmine sambac: lotus brings a watery lightness, orchid a soft, slightly powdery sweetness and jasmine sambac a warm, heady floral richness. Sea notes run through the base with a salty, airy freshness, while vanilla and amber add warmth and a smooth sweetness that lingers.
