Orange peel opens it with a quick, zesty bitterness. The heart is a broad bouquet of magnolia, Italian jasmine, Bulgarian rose and narcissus, fresh and slightly green rather than heavy, with iris adding a cool powderiness. The distinctive touch is rice, which gives the flowers a soft, starchy, almost soapy smoothness that many people associate with freshly laundered linen. The base of vanilla, sandalwood and ambergris is gentle, adding warmth and a faint creamy sweetness without weighing the florals down.
