Bergamot gives the opening a bright citrus lift, but green tea takes over almost immediately with its dry, slightly bitter, leafy freshness. Saffron adds a warm, leathery spice with a faintly metallic edge, which is what turns the composition from tea towards something darker. Leather and cedar then settle in, dry and smooth, and beeswax adds a soft, honeyed, slightly waxy warmth that rounds off the drydown.
It is a restrained, textured scent rather than a loud one. Marketed to men, it suits daytime and the office, and works in both mild and cooler weather. Those who enjoy tea notes but want more substance than a fresh tea cologne will find the leather and saffron give it that.
