Moon Glory

Moon Glory by The Harmonist, composed by Guillaume Flavigny in 2020 and worn by anyone, is a heady, honeyed white floral. Everyone describes it as floral; a quarter also find it sweet, woody, musky and amber-like.

Hawaiian jasmine and ylang-ylang open it, the jasmine rich and warm, the ylang-ylang creamy and slightly banana-like, with litchi adding a juicy, slightly rosy fruit note. The heart is where the night flowers come in: passion flower and lady of the night flower bring a lush, slightly green, nocturnal sweetness, and honey thickens it with a golden, faintly animalic warmth. The base is Peru balsam, white musk and hinoki wood, a soft vanilla-like resin, a clean musk and a dry, slightly lemony Japanese cypress that keeps the finish from becoming heavy.

It reads as an evening and warm-weather floral, lush and tropical but with a dry, woody edge. It suits someone who likes big white flowers and honey and wants them in a refined, slightly unusual form.
