Citron opens it with a sharp, bright citrus note, quickly joined by coriander for an aromatic freshness and saffron for a warm, leathery spice. Cloves add a strong, warm, slightly medicinal heat. Davana, a herb with a fruity, boozy, almost apricot-like scent, gives the heart an unusual depth. The sweetness builds from there: caramel, almond and dark chocolate create a rich, dessert-like layer, while white tobacco adds a soft, honeyed smokiness. In the base, guaiac wood brings a smoky woodiness, labdanum a resinous warmth, patchouli an earthy note and ambergris and musk a smooth, salty-sweet finish.
