Intense Noir

Intense Noir by Sapil is a dark, leathery Eau de Parfum for men from 2011, built around smoke, spice and earthy woods, with only a short burst of citrus at the start.

The opening sets the tone straight away: birch brings a smoky, tar-like note, while bergamot and lemon give a quick flash of brightness. In the heart, black pepper adds a dry bite and leather a supple, slightly animalic richness, with patchouli lending earthiness. The base keeps patchouli going and adds amber for warmth, moss for a green, bitter depth and musk for a soft, skin-like finish that smooths out the darker edges.

With its smoke-and-leather character, it leans towards autumn and winter, evenings and occasions where a darker, more serious scent feels right. It will appeal most to men who prefer leather and woods over fresh or sweet styles.
