Lemon, bergamot and elemi give the opening a bright, lemony, slightly peppery freshness. The heart is rose in several forms: Taif rose, prized for its sharp, spicy, honeyed character, and Damask rose, fuller and more velvety, with geranium adding a rosy, minty brightness. Cloves and nutmeg give a warm, slightly medicinal spice that complements the rose.
