Wood Whisper

Wood Whisper is a soft, sweet woody amber from the Omani house Ojar, composed by Jordi Fernández and released in 2021. People describe it as woody and ambery in equal measure, about two thirds also find it gourmand and floral, and a third musky.

Plum gives the opening a dark, jammy fruitiness, and rose and violet follow with a soft, slightly powdery floral sweetness. Cashmere wood is the main woody note, smooth, musky and a little cosy, and sandalwood adds a creamy, milky warmth beside it. Vanilla pulls the composition towards sweetness without making it a dessert. White amber, amber and ambergris give the base a radiant, slightly salty warmth, and musk a soft, skin-like finish that lasts.

Wood Whisper is worn by anyone. Its warm, enveloping character suits autumn and winter and evening wear, and it should appeal to someone who likes soft, sweet woods with a floral touch rather than dry or smoky ones.
