RedColorado from the French house M. Micallef, composed by Urs Castelletti in 2023, is a woody fragrance with a forest feel. Wood is what nearly everyone notices, with sweetness, a floral note, leather and citrus each mentioned by a minority.

Bergamot gives the opening a brief brightness, and rose adds a soft floral thread through the middle. The main body is conifer and wood: pine, fir and cypress bring a resinous, cool, needle-and-sap greenness, while cedar and guaiac wood add dryness and a faint smokiness. Patchouli and leather deepen it, and sandalwood with a touch of vanilla softens the base into something smoother and gently sweet.

It is worn by anyone and suits the cooler months and outdoor days, for someone who likes the smell of a pine forest given a polished, slightly sweet woody finish rather than a sharp one.
